My name is Kristy and I am a professional graphic designer & illustrator. After receiving my BFA from the University at Buffalo, I have been steadily working in the graphic design field and honing my skills ever since. I first spent several years employed in the art department of a Buffalo printing business specializing in stationery & invitations. I later moved into the internet retail division of the company, tackling multiple roles in customer service, product photography, marketing & web maintenance...a little bit of everything! A few years ago, I relocated to NYC and have been working as a graphic designer for a Manhattan printing company. I have since gained valuable production skills as well as an extensive knowledge of bindery and common print practices and methods. With my ever-evolving design aesthetic and technical expertise, I am able to meet demanding design challenges and satisfy the high standards of my NY clientele. I also periodically freelance in my spare time and have worked with many small businesses and individuals in need of creative services. I have designed logos, t-shirt apparel, marketing collateral, signage and websites with successful results.

Although much of my practical work experience centers around graphic design for print, I have dabbled in many other creative mediums and technologies including web design, photography, photo retouching, film & video production (including video/audio editing), animation, costume and set design. I am also well-versed in more traditional art forms, such as painting, illustration and sculpture. While my interest in the visual arts is a top priority, it is complimented by my diverse musical background and classical training in both oboe and voice. My involvement in a variety of musical groups, choirs, opera & theater have been a creative platform for both musical and artisitic expression for many years. Overall I like to think of myself as an aspiring renaissance woman!
